5121 - POSTGRADUATE AND OLDER-AGE STUDENTS

The Board of Education will extend the privilege of postgraduate study to high school graduates of this District upon proper application and the satisfaction of the conditions that follow.

The Board of Education will extend the privilege of an educational program to residents of this District over the age of twenty (20) upon proper application and the satisfaction of the conditions that follow:

 A.candidate's past scholastic and behavioral conduct predicts success in the selected postgraduate courses

 B.needs of regularly enrolled students are being met

 C.classroom space and instructional staff are available

 D.continued attendance, satisfactory performance in the program, and appropriate conduct

The Board will not assume responsibility for the transportation of these students.

The Board may require and/or related costs that each such student pay tuition to attend classes unless the student meets the requirements for the District to receive State aid for his/her participation.

The District Administrator shall prepare administrative guidelines to implement such programs and which include eligibility requirements for participation in both curricular and co-curricular programs.

No student enrolled as a post-graduate or older-age student may participate in any athletic program unless s/he meets the requirements of the State and the Wisconsin High School Athletic Association.
