3125.01 - MENTORING FOR NEW FACULTY

A professional development program has been developed by the district for all new faculty. The program will include a mentoring component. Experienced staff members who volunteer and are recommended by the Principal/Designee to serve as mentors to new teachers, will be compensated at a rate of $500 per semester. Initial educators will be assigned a mentor for a period of two (2) years. Experienced teachers who are new to the district, may be assigned a mentor for up to two (2) years, as determined by the teacher and Principal/Designee. The administration reserves the right to appoint all professional staff as mentors.
