A detailed description of the rights and responsibilities concerning student use of motor vehicles should be contained in the high school student handbook. (See AG 5110).
The following guidelines should be followed before a student is allowed to drive to and from school:
| | A. | Students under age eighteen (18) are to have a note from their parents granting permission to drive to school. |

| | B. | Students shall complete the Student Vehicle Form 5515 F1 and provide: |

| | | 1. | driver's license; |
|
| | | 2. | insurance certificate; |
|
| | | 3. | registration. |
|
| | C. | Driving to school, if approved, is a privilege. If abused in any way, it may be revoked at any time. |
|
| | D. | When transportation is available through the District, participating students shall not drive to school-sponsored activities. |
|
| | | 1. | unless written permission is granted by their parents and approved by the principal. |
|
| | | 2. | No other students are allowed to be driven to a school-sponsored activity by the approved student driver without a note from parents granting permission and approval by the principal. |
|
| | E. | Parking lot speed limit is fifteen (15) mph. |
|
| | F. | Fee schedule is twenty-five dollars ($25) for the entire school year. |
|
| | G. | If a student's permit is suspended, no fees will be refunded. Failure to comply with these administrative guidelines will result in loss of privileges and/or disciplinary actions for the student. |
