It is imperative that each child who is eligible for a special education program be given a proper assessment by an Individualized Education Planning Committee (IEPC) prior to assignment. Checklist 2460 F1 is a guideline for the IEPC assessment and, upon completion of the process, have the chairman of the IEPC sign and return this checklist to the principal's office for review prior to the student's assignment. This checklist is not intended to be exclusive for identifying all the responsibilities of the IEPC.
