2105 - MISSION OF THE CORPORATION
The mission of the WHITLEY COUNTY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS IS IN THE ONGOING PROCESS OF PROVIDING AN EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTs TO RECEIVE A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION WHICH WILL EMPOWER THEM TO LEARN, TO ACHIEVE, AND TO FULfILL THEIR POTENTIAL. tHROUGH COOPERATive leadership that is responsive and accountable to students, staff, parents, and the community-at-large, an educational environment will be provided which is open, honest, and progressive, while also being practical. whitley county consolidated schools will have effective schools which strive for excellence.
The following belief statements are the basis from which the mission statement was developed.

The following explanations are provided in order to facilitate a common understanding of the Mission Statement:

The program will encompass those classroom and extra-curricular activities specially designed for students whose needs are met through academic education, special education, vocational education, and/or community education. |

Facilities and grounds which are conducive to acquiring knowledge, attitudes, and skills because students and staff are physically and psychologically safe and focussed on accomplishing clearly-defined objectives and goals. |

Students are those who are enrolled in a regular program offered by the Corporation. Citizens are residents of the Corporation who may wish to participate in a program offered either by this Corporation. |
