5113.01 - INTRA-DISTRICT OPEN ENROLLMENT
Intra-district open enrollment refers to enrollment in different buildings within a school District. In the Wayne Trace Local Schools this means enrollment between Grover Hill Elementary and Payne Elementary for grades kindergarten through
six (6).
The following procedures will govern intra-district open enrollment:

A. |
Parents will be notified annually of the availability of intra-district open enrollment in regular school buildings and District newsletters. |

B. |
Parents must submit Form 5113.01 F1 to the District Superintendent's office no earlier than April 1 and no later than June 1 of each year. Parents will be notified by July 1 of each year of their application being accepted or denied. Once accepted the student will attend the school of choice for the full school year. |

C. |
Consideration of transportation to Grover Hill Elementary or Payne Elementary can be made available to applicants only if such applicants can be transported to routing borders within the school attendance area of their choice. No afternoon transportation on the Jr. High/High School routes shall be made available beyond the District of attendance routing border. |

D. |
Applications will be considered in the order received. |

E. |
Class size limits will be based on enrollment as of the first (1st) day of June and will be as follows: |

Applications for students who have an IEP will be considered only if the necessary services are available in the building and the class size as of June 1 is at least three (3) students smaller than the state maximum. |
