3120.04 - EMPLOYMENT OF SUBSTITUTES
| A. | Procedures Leading to Appointment | |
| The Western Buckeye ESC is responsible for maintaining a list of qualified substitutes for all teaching and related positions. | ||
| Interested persons are to complete an application form and return it to the Western Buckeye ESC. | ||
| Each applicant under final consideration of employment as a substitute with the District shall be required to complete a DMA form. Applicants shall not be placed on the official substitute list unless the DMA form has no positive indications that material assistance has been provided to a terrorist organization. | ||
| Substitutes also must pass a background check performed by the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. | ||
| B. | In-School Procedures | |
| Each principal is to develop procedures which ensure each substitute has completed necessary forms; received appropriate instructions, plans, and other resources needed to function properly in the position and the building. |
