It shall be the policy of the Auglaize County Schools that any juvenile student found to be in possession of cigarettes, other tobacco products, or papers used to roll cigarettes, at school or at any school-sanctioned event, shall be sent to the Auglaize County Alternative School for a period of one (1) day and shall be required to attend the Tobacco Education Group.

Failure to complete the educational program school within the assigned time will result in two (2) additional days at the Alternative School.

In addition, a copy of the offense report shall be forwarded to the Auglaize County Prosecutor's Office.

Any juvenile student having a second tobacco-related offense in the same school year shall be sent to the Auglaize County Alternative School for a period of five (5) days. A report of the incident shall be forwarded to the Auglaize County Prosecutor's Office.

A third smoking offense within the same school year shall result in a ten-day suspension to be served at the Auglaize County Alternative School and a request for expulsion will be made by the school administration to the local superintendent. A copy of the incident shall be forwarded to the Auglaize County Prosecutor's Office.
