3130.01 - ASSIGNMENT AND TRANSFER OF ADMINISTRATORS
The Board of Education believes that the judicious placement of administrators within the District is important for the successful functioning of the District.
The Board shall approve the assignment of administrative personnel.
No administrator shall be transferred during the life of his/her contract with the District to a position of lesser responsibility except by mutual agreement.
The Superintendent shall provide for a system of voluntary transfer in which:
| A. | administrative vacancies shall be publicized to all appropriate employees; | |
| B. | consideration will be given to intra-district transfers over new employees; | |
| C. | the wishes of the administrator who voluntarily requests reassignment or transfer shall be honored to the extent that the transfer does not conflict with the instructional requirements and welfare of the District. |
Action on applications for transfer shall be made for good cause and shall in no case be based on any personal bias or vindictiveness against the applicant.
Any member of the administrative staff who applied but was not granted a transfer, will be given an explanation in writing, upon request.
When an involuntary transfer of personnel occurs, the individual has the right to grieve such transfer in accordance with Board policy.
