2466.01 - PROFICIENCY TESTING FOR DISABLING STUDENTS
No student with a disabling condition (as defined by A.C. 3301-51-01) shall be required to take or be prohibited from taking the ninth-grade proficiency tests.
The determination of participation by each individual disabled student shall be made annually.
Parents will be involved in the decision to exempt individual students with disabilities. Parent involvement can be accomplished in a number of ways including the following:

| C. | written communications to parents requesting their agreement/disagreement with the decision to exempt |
Documentation of the decision to exempt or not to exempt a student with a disability will be kept on file.
Modification in test format and/or test administration may be made only in accordance with guidelines provided by the Ohio Department of Education to accommodate the needs of individual students with disabling conditions.
No modification shall be made in the content of any test.
