2131 - EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME GOALS
The goal of the Vermilion Local School District is to facilitate the development of each child into an adult who can stand confidently, participate fully, learn continually, and contribute meaningfully to our democratic way of life.
The objectives which contribute to the achievement of this goal, listed without priority in arrangement, define desirable outcomes to be incorporated into short and long-range plans for the school system:
| A. | to enable each student to develop proficiency in basic academic skills; | ||
| B. | to enable each student to develop a feeling of self-worth and accomplishment; | ||
| C. | to enable each student to become an effective contributing, productive member of family and society; | ||
| D. | to enable each student to develop the capacity to recognize and cope with the problems of an unknown future; | ||
| E. | to enable the development of meaningful interpersonal relationships among students, staff, and community; | ||
| F. | to provide for staff, students, and parents the opportunity to participate in the development and evaluation of programs and policies that meet the educational needs of our community; | ||
| G. | to strive for maximum efficiency in the allocation of material resources; | ||
| H. | to strive for maximum efficiency in the allocation of human resources; | ||
| I. | to strive to develop an attitude that learning is a never ending process. |
