In order to provide a cost-effective, coordinated approach to computer use within the District, the Board of Education shall establish a District computer network. The computer network shall evolve from a process of long and short term planning.

The Superintendent shall establish a Management Information System Committee to develop guidelines and regulations to implement this policy and assure the compatibility of both hardware and software in the District.
