The Board of Education does not approve of the use of tobacco by students.

In order to protect students who choose not to use tobacco from an environment that might be harmful to them, the Board prohibits the use and/or possession of tobacco by students in District buildings, on District grounds, and on District vehicles, and during any District-related activity.

For purposes of this policy, use of tobacco shall mean all uses of tobacco, including cigar, cigarette, pipe, snuff, or any other matter or substances that contain tobacco.

Each program administrator shall take appropriate action in cases involving students who violate this policy.
