6510B - EARNED VACATION
Vacation days shall be accrued by employees in the following categories:
| A. | Superintendent (.4808 days per week of employment) | |
| B. | directors (.4808 days per seek of employment) | |
| C. | supervisors (230 day assignment) | |
| D. | other non-union employees with 230 day contracts | |
| E. | custodial/maintenance personnel* |
Vacation days are accrued based upon a factor of .3846 days per week of employment in C and D above. Except for clerical or employees listed in Section D hired after June 1, 2005.
The maximum accrual of vacation days as of June 30th of any year, for any employee is
twenty-five (25).Vacation days accrued to any employee account in excess of
twenty-five (25) on June 30th could be carried over into the next year, upon leaving from the organization only twenty (25) days will compensated.The vacation days for Section D employees above are ten (10) days after sixty (60) days of satisfactory work. On the anniversary date of the employee, they will start accruing a four (4) week vacation schedule.
Vacation days must be requested in advance and must have the approval of the employees immediate supervisor.
Upon termination the Board of Education may buy any accrued vacation days up to
twenty-five (25) on the employees account. Purchase will be at the appropriate daily rate. Annually, the Board may allow employees to be reimbursed for unused vacation days.*Vacation shall accrue for these employees as provided in negotiated contracts.
