Administrative Guidelines
 

4120 - EMPLOYMENT OF SUPPORT STAFF

The following guidelines are established for the interviewing and screening of employee candidates except as provided by negotiated union agreements:

 A.Where specific openings exist in positions that could afford present employees an opportunity to be upgraded, such notice shall be posted in the schools of this District.

 B.Applications are to be made in writing to the Director of Finance and Operations.

 C.Checking of credentials may include direct telephone calls to immediate supervisors of the person being considered.

 D.Applicants may be granted an interview if their credentials indicate they meet the criteria for the position.

 E.Terms of employment shall be made known to the candidate at the time of the interview.

In selecting personnel to fill established positions, the appropriate director shall be responsible for selecting the person best qualified to fill each position in accordance with position specifications established by the Board. The appropriate director will recommend a successful applicant to the Superintendent.
