2421 - ASSIGNMENT OF STUDENTS TO CLASSES--VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
| A. | Enrollment Criteria |
| 1. | The student must be enrolled in a high school located in the District or for a participating tuition paying school. | |||
| 2. | Students will be selected for enrollment by the home high school. | |||
| 3. | Students are eligible for enrollment who demonstrate an interest and aptitude in a particular vocational skill, as determined through an established career counseling program at the home high school. |
| B. | Enrollment Procedures |
| 1. | Limiting factors to the number of enrolled students include, but are not limited to, facilities, finances, and the placement possibilities. | |||
| 2. | The administrative staff will determine an effective student-teacher ratio for a quality program. | |||
| 3. | The administrative staff will distribute the assignment information to each high school. | |||
| 4. | The local high school will, through their selection procedures, enroll students whose aptitude, attitude, interest, and career goals indicate that the student will benefit from a course selection. |
| C. | The program will be individualized, when necessary, using vocational education performance objectives. |
