2210F - ASSESSING THE DISTRICT'S LEARNING PROGRAMS
There is a continuing need to assess the courses of study and other programs that comprise the learning plan for the District. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of a learning program is the first step in producing a quality revision or update.
Prior to a working committee undertaking the revision of a course of study or any other learning program offered by the District, the committee should use Form 2210 F1 to conduct an analysis of each of the six components that should comprise any effective program or course. These components are:
| A. | EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES | ||
| B. | INTENDED LEARNINGS | ||
| C. | LEARNING ACTIVITIES | ||
| D. | METHODS OF INSTRUCTION | ||
| E. | MATERIALS AND RESOURCES | ||
| F. | ASSESSMENT |
If the assessment is conducted properly, it should yield valuable information about both the strengths and weakness of the program. This information can then serve as a guide to the revision process along with other guidelines provided in AG 2210 and AG 2605.
