2210E - OVERVIEW OF INTEGRATED PROGRAM DESIGN

A project can be designed to provide an integrated approach to the structure of instruction and the learning of content so that students can achieve the following outcomes.

As a result of completing a vocational program of the District, each student should demonstrate the willingness and ability to:

 A.apply basic knowledge and specialized skills pertaining to his/her selected career or job area;

 B.follow established health and safety practices and procedures;

 C.establish and maintain productivity in team/group activities;

 D.participate in organized activities to develop leadership and responsibility;

 E.research potential career opportunities;

 F.apply consumer economic knowledge;

 G.apply basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science in the workplace;

 H.to obtain and sustain productive employment.

Phase I - Development

For selected programs, performance expectations, program development tasks and timelines, and assessment activities are defined, approved, and accomplished.

Phase II - Field Test

Courses of study are field tested in programs which have completed Phase I. During this phase, all assessment activities are administered and an analysis is performed on each. Necessary revisions are made based on these completed analyses.  (See AG 2605)
