7250 - NAMING OF DISTRICT FACILITIES
The Board will have sole responsibility for the naming of Upper Arlington School District facilities.
The Board will consider requests from the school and community groups to name a portion of a building, a single building or a specific area on the campus for a person who is living or dead. The proposed name must have special significance and/or the person must have made an outstanding contribution to the school or school system.
The group making the request must agree to pay all costs and provide the appropriate recognitions, such as a plaque, portrait or marker for the school or facility. The group making the request must have the approval by the Board of the total project and must have its required funding in hand prior to the Board granting approval to move forward with the project.
The Board will consider the request after receiving the recommendation of the Superintendent.
