6700.01 - COMPENSATORY TIME

Compensatory time in lieu of overtime paid to classified employees should be used only as warranted. The earning and granting of compensatory time is subject to the following restrictions:

 A.Compensatory time may be granted only for overtime work performed in a school or on a job site.

 B.Compensatory time may be granted to an employee only by his/her immediate supervisor or administrator.

 C.Appropriate arrangements must be must be made between the employee and immediate supervisor or administrator prior to performing the overtime work for which compensatory time will be given.

 D.Compensatory time for overtime work shall be granted:

  1.in a manner consistent with the collective bargaining agreement between Local 201 of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees and the Board.

  2.at a time requested by the employee which the supervisor or administrator determines can be accommodated without undue disruption, and within timelines established in the above-mentioned collective bargaining agreement.

 E.Compensatory time may not accrue beyond 240 hours.
