2262D - DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
There are specific behavioral guidelines for children enrolled in SACC. Children are expected to participate in, and enjoy activities without disrupting or preventing other children’s enjoyment and participation. To develop within children a respect for self, others, and the environment, behavioral guidelines are needed (listed in parent handbook, reviewed by SACC personnel).
Discipline Slip
A discipline slip will be issued when a child does not follow the behavioral guidelines. The slip must be signed by the parent/guardian and a copy is sent to the SACC Director.
Suspension
Three (3) discipline slips will result in a conference with the supervisor, parent/guardian, and SACC Director, site coordinator, and suspension from the program. Tuition payment continues during suspension.
If a child is suspended during the normal school day, the child cannot attend SACC until the school suspension is over.
Dismissal
After suspension, if a child’s behavior warrants another discipline slip, the child will be dismissed permanently from the Program. Also, if a child’s behavior warrants permanent dismissal, s/he may be dismissed permanently from the Program without the usual four (4) discipline slips. In such cases, a parent/guardian conference will be called.
