5113.03 - NONPUBLIC STUDENTS
The Board of Education authorizes the attendance of students from nonpublic schools in accordance with Rule 3301-61-10. The Center shall provide the opportunity for all eligible nonpublic students with legal residence within the geographic boundaries of the participating Center public schools to participate in the vocational job training programs without financial assessment, charge, or tuition to such student, except such assessments, charges or tuition paid by resident public school students in such programs. The nonpublic student shall be included in the average daily membership of the school district maintaining the vocational education program as a part-time student in proportion to the time spent in the vocational program.
This rule shall be implemented by having the Center report the nonpublic student through EMIS. As part of that reporting, the Center also indicates the district where the student actually resides. EMIS calculates the foundation funding using ADM count from the Center and adds those students to the ADM of the residential district. The district will then receive twenty-five percent (25%) of the funding of that student on a FTE basis. The Center receives 100% so the State pays 125% for these students.
Students are asked to notify their district of resident prior to enrolling at the Center.
