3432 - SICK LEAVE

The Board of Education recognizes its statutory duty to pay employees of this District in full for days on which they are absent from work for reasons of personal disability or pregnancy and illness, injury, or death in the employee's immediate family.

For purposes of this policy "immediate family" shall mean: husband, wife, children, father, mother, brother, sister, grandparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and grandparent-in-law.

Sick leave should be used for all health related situations affecting the employee and his/her immediate family which would prevent the employee from being on the job. These situations include funerals, scheduled surgery, pregnancy, doctor/dentist appointments, illness, etc.
