The Board of Education recognizes that chemical dependency is a primary and progressive disease. The Board believes that chemically dependent students are not available for learning and are harmful to themselves and potentially harmful to others. The Student Assistance Program will assist students and families in accessing State licensed assessment. Once a professional diagnosis of dependency is made, active involvement in a treatment/recovery program is required for a student's continued enrollment.
