Bylaws & Policies


The School Board shall purchase the type and amount of insurance necessary to protect the Corporation from major financial losses.

Insurance purchased shall include, but need not be limited to, the following:

 A.fire and extended coverage on buildings and contents

 B.comprehensive bodily injury and property damage on all vehicles, i.e. automobiles, buses, and trucks

 C.boiler and machinery coverage

 D.special coverage for equipment not ordinarily covered under a standard policy

 E.employee insurance coverage as specified in the Master Agreement(s) or by Board action

 F.worker's compensation coverage as required by statutes

 G.open stock burglary

 H.legal liability for Board members and employees

Insurance for a given coverage shall be obtained at the lowest possible cost, assuming that service and company reliability are satisfactory. The Superintendent/designee shall administer the insurance program.
