Bylaws & Policies


All permanent teaching personnel files shall be maintained under the following conditions:

 A.All materials placed in the permanent Central Office file, and originating within the school system shall be available to the individual at his/her request for inspection. Material originating within the school system and which is evaluative in nature shall not be placed in the individual's file unless the individual has had an opportunity to read the material. The individual shall acknowledge that s/he has read such material by affixing his/her signature on the actual copy to be filed. Such signature does not necessarily indicate agreement with the content of such material.

 B.The individual shall have the right to answer any evaluative material filed, and his/her answer shall be reviewed by the appropriate Central Office personnel and attached to the file copy.

 C.All references and information contained in college or university placement papers and originating outside the school system in the process of evaluating the individual for employment shall not be available for inspection by the individual.

The Corporation shall publish a director of offices and employees of the Corporation. This directory shall be for the convenience of employees and not for public distribution.

In no instance may this directory be given to individuals or to business establishments for mailing lists or solicitation purposes.

A social security number contained in the records of the school corporation (student or employee) may not be disclosed or released by the school corporation unless the record is specifically required by a State or a Federal Statute or is ordered by a court under the rules of discovery.
