Minimum qualification for the secretarial-clerical business staff shall be a high school diploma which includes some commercial courses.

Each classified employee shall be placed on a trial basis for a ninety (90) calendar day period. If performance is considered satisfactory at the end of the period, the employee shall be considered a regular employee of the Corporation and service shall date from the first day worked.

School nurses must be certified by the State of Indiana as a "Registered Nurse".

Paraprofessional aides shall have a high school diploma or equivalent.

All classified employees shall be employed by the Board. Bus drivers are the only non-administrative classified employees to receive contracts.

The Superintendent shall be responsible for announcing vacancies, developing job descriptions, and accepting applications from all qualified candidates for classified positions except cafeteria workers and bus drivers.

The Superintendent will not knowingly assign any employee to a location where s/he will be supervised by a close relative. When circumstances may create a situation which places an employee under such supervision, said situation shall be allowed to exist only until another job opening permits a transfer of the employee.
