The School Board, in compliance with law and rules of the State Board of Education, shall implement any State-mandated testing to assess student achievement and needs in English/language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and other designated subjects in order to determine the progress of students and to assist them in attaining Corporation and State Department goals.

The Superintendent shall develop and implement a plan which complies with guidelines established by the Department of Education.

Standardized tests (e.g. achievement, abilities) administered to all students shall be used only for diagnostic and placement purposes and not to stereotype students.

Tests administered within courses of instruction should be used for instruction as well as a measurement device.
