Homework is to be viewed as an extension of the classroom and not as a substitute for classroom instruction.

Homework is to be used as a way to improve time spent in learning and to strengthen self-discipline and concentration skills. The amount or volume should vary according to age, cognitive style, physical needs, and interests of the student, and at the teacher's discretion.

Homework should be planned so it serves as an extension of the classwork which is related to the objectives of the curriculum presently being studied.
