1334 - FRINGE BENEFITS

All administrators shall receive fringe benefits as determined by the Board.

Vacation leave provisions for administrators shall be as follows:

 

A.

All administrators on a 252 day contract shall receive twenty-two (22) paid vacation days to include an extra day during winter recess and an extra day during spring vacation.

     
 

B.

All administrators on a 232 day contract shall receive eighteen (18) paid vacation days to include an extra day during winter recess and an extra day during spring vacation.

     
 

C.

All administrators should normally plan to use their vacation during the contract year (July 1 - June 30). An extension through July 31st of the subsequent contract may be granted for unusual circumstances upon written application to the Superintendent.

     
 

D.

Vacation time for administrators may accumulate to a maximum of thirty-five (35) days.

Sick leave provisions for administrators shall be as follows:

 

A.

All 252 day administrators shall receive thirteen (13) days of sick leave annually.

     
 

B.

All 232 day administrators shall receive twelve (12) days of sick leave annually.

     
 

C.

All 183 day administrators shall receive nine (9) days of sick leave annually.

     
 

D.

Sick leave for administrative team members shall accumulate to a maximum of:

     
 

1.

252 days for administrators on 252-day contracts

     
 

2.

232 days for administrators on 232-day contracts

     
 

3.

200 days for administrators on 183-day contracts

Any administrator who has accumulated unused sick leave in other districts may annually transfer into this Corporation a maximum of ten (10) accumulated days from previous employer(s).

When an administrator's health warrants it, as verified by the administrator's physician, an unpaid health leave, not to exceed one (1) full year plus any portion of an unfinished school year, may be granted by the Board.

Bereavement leave shall be provided to administrators in the same manner as provided to members of the teaching staff.

Personal leave not to exceed three (3) days shall be granted annually.

The Board may grant short-term leaves without pay up to a ninety (90) days limit. Requests for such leaves must be filed with the Superintendent at least thirty (30) days in advance of the first day of the leave.

Jury duty leave, military leave, volunteer service leave, public service leave and sabbatical leave shall be available to administrators upon Board approval. Scope of these leaves shall be the same as that available to teaching personnel.

All leave requests must be made in writing upon the appropriate form and submitted to the Superintendent in sufficient time to be approved prior to the leave taking place.
