The Board of Education officially recognizes the Academic Excellence Foundation as an organization providing supplemental support to teachers, schools, and programs, not funded by the District's general fund.

The Philosophy of the Board shall be to encourage employees of the Sylvania Schools to support the Foundation through charitable gifts and by participating in programs. It shall further encourage building administrators to publicize programs sponsored by the AEF.
