The Board of Education recognizes the importance of implementing a program for the evaluation of teachers on limited contracts for the purpose of improving the quality of instruction received by the students, strengthening professional competence by identifying and correcting deficiencies, and for establishing a means for determining reemployment.

Each District teacher on a limited contract or an extended limited contract shall be evaluated according to the terms of this policy in any school year in which the Board may wish to declare its intention not to reemploy said teacher.

Procedure for evaluating teachers on limited contract would be done in compliance with negotiated agreement between the Board and bargaining unit representing the teaching staff.
