The Superintendent is empowered to engage and compensate employees to perform special assignments which the Superintendent deems to be in addition to the scope of the employee's regular duties, within the limits of the dollar amount appropriated for such special assignments. The Board will be kept informed of the use of such compensation on a quarterly basis.
