1225 - ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

Administrative Personnel

The Board shall employ such administrative personnel, as the needs of the District require.

Compensation Guidelines

All administrative personnel shall be compensated for services in conformity with Board approved contracts and collective bargaining agreements. Salary structures may include provisions for merit-based compensation, upon approval of the Board.

Qualifications

The Superintendent shall develop appropriate job descriptions for each administrative position in the District. Job descriptions shall be filed in the central office.

Vacancies

The Board delegates to the Superintendent authority to identify and recommend appointment of qualified individuals to fill vacant administrative positions.

Time Schedules

Administrative time schedules and work assignments will be dictated by terms of employment contracts and as assigned by the Superintendent.

Part Time Administrators

The Board may employ part time administrators as needs of the District may dictate.

Recommendations

The Superintendent will recommend to the Board demotion, termination or non-renewal of administrative personnel.

Evaluation

All administrators shall be evaluated in writing annually, Board discussion regarding administrative evaluations can be held in either closed or open session as decided by the administrator. The administrator’s personnel file shall be available only to the Board, Administrator, Superintendent and immediate supervisor. The administrator’s evaluation shall be made available to those authorized by law when so requested.

Complaints

All complaints, verbal and written, directed toward an administrator which are to become part of an evaluation or the administrator’s personnel record, shall be promptly called to the attention of the administrator by the Superintendent or immediate supervisor.

Professional Development

The Board recognizes importance of maintaining current skills, knowledge and understanding relative to job assignment. Administrators are encouraged to participate in relevant training activities. Attendance at state or national conferences shall be approved by the administrator’s immediate supervisor. Specified expenses will be reimbursed by the District.
