8220 - SCHOOL DAY
The Board of Education specifies the times that school shall be in session for the purpose of insuring adequate instruction for the students of this District.
The schools of the District shall be in session for students on those days specified by the Board.
The regular school session may be temporarily altered, when such alteration is feasible and advisable in the best interests of the students of the District, by the Superintendent with the approval of the Board.
In the event of disease, epidemic, hazardous weather conditions, damage to a school building, or the temporary unfitness of a school building due to utility failure, the Board may close the schools, delay the opening of schools, or dismiss school early. The Superintendent shall prepare rules for the proper and timely notification of concerned persons in the event of such emergency closing.
