On account of the significance of income generated from real property taxation, the Board shall annually review the Auditor's valuation of real property in the District. The Board may further instruct its legal counsel to challenge the valuation of specific property which exceeds a cost-effective threshold as determined by the Treasurer. In those cases where an owner of real estate challenges the Auditor's valuation, the Board may instruct its legal counsel to file a counter-complaint to represent the Board's interests.
