6150 - TUITION INCOME
It is the policy of the Board of Education to assess tuition charges for each student attending school in this District on a tuition basis in a manner that is fair and equitable and in accordance with statute.
Tuition may be assessed only for those students whose attendance has been approved by the Board.
It shall be the responsibility of the Treasurer to assess the tuition for approved students at a rate established by the State Department of Education. For students who are not counted in ADM due to nonresidency or other reasons, the Treasurer may add the State share of educational costs to the tuition rate established by the State Department of Education.
Tuition shall be payable in advance of the billing period. The Treasurer shall establish a written payable agreement with the party responsible for paying tuition. Payment frequency shall not be less than monthly. Tuition for a fractional part of the year will be prorated on a per diem basis.
When payment of tuition by a parent or guardian is more than one (1) month overdue, the attendance of a nonresident student shall be unauthorized, and services may be terminated.
