3410.04 - SUBSTITUTE TEACHER COMPENSATION
In order to compensate substitute teachers and similarly situated certified employees in a fair, equitable, and competitive manner, the Board of Education has determined that it is appropriate to set, by policy, this compensation as a fraction of the base teacher salary.
That fraction varies by the number of days the employee has worked for the District during the current school year, according to the following table.

In accordance with State law, any substitute teacher who works in the same position for more than sixty (60) consecutive school days is placed on the teacher salary schedule.
Whenever the Board adopts a resolution changing the teacher base salary, the Treasurer shall recalculate substitute wage rates to maintain compliance with this policy.
