2230 - CURRICULUM GUIDES

A guide may be prepared for each approved course of study or any other program.

As appropriate to the course of study, each guide shall contain:

 A.the intended learning outcome(s);

 B.knowledge skills, attitudes, and values needed to achieve those outcomes;

 C.learning activities needed to achieve the outcome;

 D.appropriate materials and resources;

 E.suggested methods of instruction;

 F.evaluation criteria, standards, and methods which will confirm the extent to which learning outcomes have been achieved;

 G.a list of supplemental materials for the guidance of teachers.

Each curriculum guide is intended to provide a basic framework for instruction and learning. Within this framework, each teacher shall use the curriculum guide in a manner best designed to meet the needs of the students for whom s/he is responsible.

Whenever new curriculum guides are developed or existing guides revised, copies of these additions or changes must be made available to the Board for review. The Board retains the right to reject any additions, changes, and deletions.

Copies of all current curriculum guides shall be kept on file in the office of the Superintendent.
