The Board of Education recognizes the value of research programs that are consistent with the adopted philosophy and goals of the School District.

The Superintendent may recommend such research programs as are judged to be necessary to the continuing growth of the instructional program.

The Board shall approve each educational study, along with its objectives, evaluative criteria, and costs.

Staff members may conduct action research and other educational studies directed toward improvement of the school program and increasing the effectiveness of staff members. Such research and study shall be approved by the Board. Each study shall be accompanied by a plan of action and the criteria and standards by which improvement is be measured.
