7240.01 - SITE DEVELOPMENT

Persons or groups wishing to propose site improvements or to contribute to site improvement should contact the Superintendent of Schools to arrange for a conference. It will be the responsibility of the administration (1) to assist the person or group in becoming informed about pertinent Board of Education policy, (2) to counsel with regard to the appropriateness and acceptability of proposals in relation to Board of Education plans and policy, (3) to advise if a decision may be arrived at administratively and what the administrative decision is, (4) to determine if proposals should be referred to the Board of Education for a decision, and (5) to arrange for referral of proposals, as needed, to the Board of Education.

PROPOSAL CHARACTERISTICS AND REQUIREMENTS

Information included in proposals must be sufficiently comprehensive, must be adequately detailed, and must be clearly expressed, if the Board of Education or an administrator is to be properly informed for decision-making. The following suggested considerations, both as a group of topics, and in and of themselves, are not all-inclusive. In other words, considerations shall include the items which follow, but shall not be restricted to those listed.

Scoreboards and Electronic Message boards

Donors names on electric or electronic scoreboards and/or message boards are permitted.

 
   

Concession stands or vehicles

Current applications, forms, and sizes (as of 10-1-1978) permitting visibility to the public only when the stand or vehicle is open for business.

Non-conforming signs may be completely concealed at the option of the beverage company provided that the concealment is constantly maintained, and that the method of concealment is satisfactory to the beverage company and to the South-Western City School District.

All applications, regardless of form or size permitting public visibility at any time when the stand or vehicle is not open for business.

Any substantial changes, after 10-1-1978, in application, from, or size without prior approval by the South-Western City School District.
