5120.01 - SPLIT SESSIONS

The following guidelines and procedures for scheduling placement of 9th grade students applies only for the duration of high school split sessions:

 A.All incoming 9th grade students with zero (0) credits will be scheduled for and attend the second split-session time frame.

 B.All 9th grade students with less than three (3) credits will be scheduled for and attend the second split-session time frame.

 C.All 9th grade students with three (3) or more credits will be scheduled for and attend the first split-session time frame.

 D.All 9th grade students with three (3) or more credits will be registered as 10th grade students for the purpose of scheduling classes in the first split-session time frame. They will not be considered 10th grade students for grade placement until they have officially earned five (5) credits.

 E.After the return to the traditional high school day and split sessions are no longer needed, a student must have earned five (5) credits to register as a 10th grade student.
