5100 - STUDENT POLICIES GOALS

Through its policies that affect students, the Board seeks to advance the following goals:

	A.	to provide equal educational opportunities for all students;
	B.	to promote responsible attendance;
	C.	to ensure that the constitutional rights of all students as citizens in a democracy have practical meaning and application;
	D.	to develop in students a deep sense of personal responsibility for their actions;
	E.	to assure a high priority to matters of student safety, health and welfare;
	F.	to deal justly and constructively with all students in matters of discipline; and
	G.	to help all students feel that they are valued as individual persons in the school environment.
