6200 - BUDGET PHILOSOPHY

Each year the School District must develop a budget. It is our desire to have some form of representative involvement of the total staff. The rationale is that involvement of an individual in this process guarantees his/her becoming knowledgeable of what our money is spent for and commits him/her to the plan for the coming year.

It is through this philosophy of representative involvement, understanding, and commitment that we hope to continue to improve communications within our system.

We believe:

 A.that a budget should be a democratic plan of action for implementing the educational program;

 B.that a solid financial base is paramount to assuring that the schools will be able to meet the changing needs of our communities.

With this in mind, we strive to ensure that the basis for the budget be a professional consideration of the educational needs of the School District within the ability of our communities to provide the necessary financial resources.
