6150 - TUITION INCOME

It is the policy of the Board of Education to assess tuition charges for each student attending school in this District on a tuition basis in a manner that is fair and equitable and in line with statute.

Tuition may be assessed only for those students whose attendance has been approved by the Board.

It shall be the responsibility of the Director of Business Affairs to assess the tuition for approved students at a rate established by the State Department of Education.

Tuition rates shall be computed annually by the Ohio Department of Education in accordance with law. Notice of tuition rates shall be given as soon as they are received from the Ohio Department of Education.

Tuition billings will be made periodically.

When payment from a board of education is more than sixty (60) days overdue, services may be terminated.

When payment of tuition by a parent or guardian is more than one (1) month overdue, the attendance of a non-resident student shall be unauthorized, and services may be terminated.

Attendance for any fractional part of a month shall be regarded as attendance for a full month, except that when the annual session terminates before the end of a full month, tuition for that part of the month that school is in session will be prorated on a per diem basis.
