8220 - SCHOOL DAY

The Board of Education specifies the times that school shall be in session for the purpose of insuring adequate instruction for the students of this District.

The regular school session may be temporarily altered, when such alteration is feasible and advisable in the best interests of the children of the District.

The Superintendent shall have the authority to determine which school-related activities may be conducted if the schools are closed for a period of time. S/He shall prepare appropriate guidelines for communication to students, parents, and others regarding the scheduling and the conduct of such activities.
