6150 - TUITION INCOME

It is the policy of the Board of Education to assess tuition charges for each student attending school in this District on a tuition basis in a manner that is fair and equitable.

Tuition may be assessed only for those students whose attendance has been approved by the Board.

It shall be the responsibility of the Treasurer to assess the tuition for approved students at a rate set annually by the State Department of Education.

Tuition rates shall be computed annually in accordance with law. Notice of tuition rates shall be given prior to the start of the school year in which they will be charged.

Attendance for any fractional part of a month shall be regarded as attendance for a full month, except that when the annual session terminates before the end of a full month, tuition for that part of the month that school is in session will be prorated on a per diem basis.

Tuition that is not paid in full should be investigated by the building administrator. Action to withhold services should take place after proper notice has been forwarded to Central Office.
