5890 - DUES, FEES, AND OTHER COLLECTIONS OF MONEY
Textbooks shall be furnished by the Board of Education. The only authorized assessments or payments by students shall be as follows:
| A. | lost books or damage to books | |
| B. | consumable supplies and approved workbooks | |
| C. | broken or misused materials or equipment | |
| D. | cost of materials used in Industrial Arts or Home Economics when the item is being made for personal use | |
| E. | optional purchase by elementary school students of one of the following: Reader's Digest, Junior Scholastic or Weekly Reader |
| F. | fines for overdue books | |
| G. | dues established by regularly organized clubs and approved by the administration | |
| H. | class dues (if the student wants to participate in class activities) | |
| I. | locker fees (funds to be designated to principal's 018) |
Unauthorized assessments or payments by students shall be as follows:
| A. | high school or junior high school class or group subscriptions to magazines such as Time, Reader's Digest, Popular Mechanics, Scholastic, etc. | |
| B. | the purchase of equipment or teacher aids | |
| C. | aid or gifts to teachers or students | |
| D. | donations to any cause other than voluntary contributions as approved by the principal | |
| E. | school fees or dues to be added to the general fund |
All fines and fees collected shall be turned over regularly through the principal's office to the Treasurer.
