5464.01 - SUMMER SCHOOL CREDITS

Students who desire to take a course in Summer School must have the prior approval of the building principal or the counselor.

Students can take courses for the following reasons:

 A.For enrichment - credit received for this course will not count toward Perry High graduation requirements.

 B.To meet requirements for early graduation.

 C.To meet requirements for graduation if student is in a Foreign Exchange Student Program.

 D.To make up classes failed during the regular school year.

In summer school the maximum student load shall be one new unit per summer, with a maximum of three such units counting toward graduation. Students who are enrolled in the early graduation program cannot count more than two (2) such units toward graduation requirements.

Night School

Students who desire to take a course in night school must have the prior approval of the building principal.

General Educational Development Tests

The State Department of Education is without authority to issue a high school diploma. Under proper procedure, the Department of Education will issue a statement of high school equivalency.

All applications for high school credit and for a high school diploma must be made to the high school in which the individual was last enrolled.
