4413 - EXTRA-TIME

It is the intention of the Board of Education to compensate noncertificated employees for extra-time work when such is previously approved and properly worked.

Pay For Extra Work (For Activities):

When custodians are to be paid by non-school related organizations for work over and beyond their regular time, they shall be paid at one and one-half (1 1/2) times their regular rate with the minimum charge of one (1) hour. Their time will have to be turned in to the Treasurer and the employee will be paid by the Perry Board of Education. If a rental fee is included in the use, the custodian's fee is included in the rental and the Board would pay at the regular custodian salary of time and a-half.

Compensatory Time

If an employee wants to take compensatory time off in lieu of payment, the time off will be at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times their regular rate. The employee must take his/her compensatory time off within six (6) months during the current school year of the date of the overtime or s/he will lose the compensatory time off.
